Today in the Art Lab we explore the weird world of children's products based on rated R movies. The most egregious of which is Alien. Out of all the kid's products made for Alien, they never made Underoos. Sounds like a challenge!

I'd say Aliens (1986) was my favorite. Loved the vehicles but didn't get into the toy line as Thundercats, Silverhawks, Transformers and Nintendo got most of my alliance.

I would love to hear about what drives you to switch programs when you do (what makes you start in procreate vs csp, why color in photoshop vs procreate, etc) and how you do some of the amazing lettering and other little techniques you do in this video.

Alien is the scariest movie I've ever seen. And it hasn't aged a day. Neither has John Carpenter's The Thing, another great sci-fi horror film.

I was definitely too young to see Alien (I was born in 98) I must have been between the ages of 7 to 11 but my parents were alright with it. I remember one day where my Mom and I watched all the Alien movies and my Dad would sporadically walk in and watch it with us. It was fun but sadly in my opinion the franchise went down after Aliens. Knowing that there was a kids toy from the Alien movie is so WILD to think about in today's age. Alien was really great but I love Aliens more... one of the only times where the sequel is as good if not better than the original. How can you NOT have a chest burster on a I'm surprised that you don't have a heat press.
