Bobby wasn't just playing for himself. He played for friends lost, and he did so with a quiet dignity that was and is an example to others. RIP.

"If I played a little part in it" Ridiculously humble. They genuinely don't make them like him anymore

When giving Sir Bobby Charlton an award, you don’t debate about it, you don’t question it, you don’t run a poll on it,
You just give it to him
RIP legend

Sir Bobby Charlton is, in my opinion, the greatest English footballer of all time. A complete joy to see play.

“And he’s me brother” very touching from Jack. I saw Sir Bobby Charlton play when Man United came to West Australia June 1967.
He was a great man. He was born in Northumberland like I was. RIP Sir Bobby.

Sir Bobby Charlton is the greatest legend in both English football history and Manchester United’s history. He is the epitome of United with the way he survived Munich air crash and became the best player in the country & won Ballon D’or just like the club survived the disaster and born from it’s ashes. He is Mr. Manchester United.

I’m not ashamed to say that I shed a tear watching this, I was six years of age in 1966, My father let me watch the World Cup football, I remember the final and still say that it’s the most memorable final I have ever seen, (and I’m welsh) I also had the great pleasure in watching Bobby Charlton play, He was every inch the players player, RIP Sir Bobby, I will remember you with great admiration and affection..
