Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 42 Flight Engineer Samantha Cristoforetti of the European Space Agency (ESA) discussed her love of music and how she listens to music aboard the orbital laboratory during an in-flight interview Feb. 12 with Italian television network RAI and media gathered at the Sanremo Music Festival in Sanremo, Italy. The festival features a popular Italian song contest and a competition to publicize previously unreleased songs by Italian artists. This year’s festival – the 65th edition -- is scheduled for Feb. 10-14. Cristoforetti, who is a native of Milan, Italy, also answered questions from ESA personnel about the progress of scientific research on the station.

She is ny favourite astronaut, smart, humble and a nerd! Hope she will be back in space soon. Maybe even as the first woman on the moon. Go ESA!

The Italians must love zero gravity because they don't have to hold the microphone when making hand gestures as seen in the video here :D. Not intended to be offensive but fascinating video great work NASA!

I love watching the weightlessness and must be a fantastic yet strange feeling. I know scuba divers have the same feeling and called inner space, but not being under water must make it stranger.

Space is just another edge of what we don't know. If you don't want to know anything, ask the question, "what we doin' up there?"

I wish NASA TV would just use subtitles instead of the "voice over" translations.  I want to hear Samantha speaking in her native tongue.

The dubbing is really annoying. Why would you listen to an interview when you can't even hear the interviewee speak? Having the option to watch the video with subtitles would be great.

"Here Samantha talking, from Moon Base 1, 2015" . After 50 years still earth orbit? Ok, pretty remarkable achievement anyway. Planet Moon is no longer interesting anyway. Being there already 6 nothing to do there anyway, no need to spend money to come back. NASA says. lt may be true.... earth orbit is better? (easier and cheaper?)...
