I've been Oregon over 60yrs and years ago (1980s) a brother in law had an encounter in the MTNS west of and a HS friend were riding dirt bikes on logging roads in an area of replanted 15-20ft were going to camp for a few a day of riding their bikes up trails and logging roads they headed back to their camp only to find a log blocking the hadn't been there before and was too large for a man to have placed there..They had trouble getting their bikes around the log to return to camp..As they were eating dinner in front of a large campfire a rock flew into camp and the surrounding forest erupted in screams and they could branches breaking and something stomping around in the the screaming continued another rock or two flew in so they piled in the truck and headed home....They came back the next day, armed, and with one of the boys fathers, to collect their camping gear and

He knew you weren’t a threat. If they wanted to harm humans he could have pinched your head off in a second. I’m from Oregon and haven’t explored the Alsea area, but they are all over the place. Thanks for sharing! I feel like they’ve been here longer than we have or even the Native Americans have.

I guarantee you if they want you they can and will make you disappear without a trace. They're more intelligent than we understand. There's wouldn't be a trace of you if they really wanted to do you harm I don't care if you're armed or not
