Love the thing you make
Better to do it with those
that you do not hate.

It is not enough
to love the thing
that you are making.

You have to do it
with people who
you love
creating with.

this is unstoppable.

You need to believe your own BS before you can start shoveling it.

What I haven’t shared is just how hard this is in practice.

One wonders if one is being a confidence man, pandering snake oil.

This is when you need to go back to your ‘why’
Why are you doing this.
Why does this matter.

My ‘why’ is documented in my mission,
my team knows our ‘why’
but sometimes that is not enough.

I have found my ‘why’ returning back to my customer or end user,
I have found my ‘why’ through cohorts of others who share a similar journey
but are doing it outside of my org or vertical, (certain conferences are a great help)
I have found my ‘why’ learning from past history of others,

Your ‘why’ is important; it becomes a strong good intended reason to create disruption that will help you when you awaken at 3am, and when the corporate antibodies mobilize.

When you know your why, you can endure any ‘how’
