Story and inspiration in the video:
"The Marvels" is an upcoming American superhero flick based on Marvel Comics, showcasing the personas of Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan. Manufactured by Marvel Studios and dispersed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it's aimed to function as the follow-up to Captain Marvel (2019), an extension of the Disney+ series "Ms. Marvel" (2022), and the 33rd installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The movie is helmed by Nia DaCosta from a script she co-penned with Megan McDonnell and Elissa Karasik. The cast includes Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, along with Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon, and Samuel L. Jackson. Within the film's narrative, Danvers, Rambeau, and Khan unite after they begin exchanging positions every instance they utilize their abilities.

I'll go and see it just for Iman Vellani. She's terrific in the role and is one of the few superheroes, male or female, who isn't flat or dull. I know that's pretty typical of superheroes going back to the old days and the stuff I grew up with, but it's good to see a character that is actually interesting. If people who aren't the target audience don't like it, well, they wouldn't have watched this anyway. I'll be interested to see this in 3D.
