Good advice for newer players for sure. As an end game player myself, I tend to only spend the championship tokens on slicing materials. It's the most efficient way to get them without having to buy the packs each time they come out.

Some characters are easier than others. I've almost finished up with bad batch which has been fun. Got all to relic 5 outside tech. He's sitting at gear 11 right now

Long story short I’m not spending a whole month just to farm 1/3 of right side gear 13 pieces. Use crystals

Bit hard for a player that has come back. I played when the game first came out for 2 years then stopped only started again this year so my basically was impossible for me to climb in areas and also fleet arena to get crystals. Especially when the account was only at 1.5 when I started up again.

The best way to gear characters up is by placing gear pieces you've acquired (by whichever means you've done so, be that farming nodes, stores, or raid rewards) in to gear slots.

Personally, that's worked very well for me for the last 4 or so years.

Serious note ~ The drop rate on farming nodes for gear pieces can be dramatically more efficient than wasting crystals. I dont think it's good advice to simply say you shouldn't farm gear pieces. Some pieces need to be farmed that way to save crystals. You'll get smaller chunks of gear a hell of a lot more often than purchasing the bigger chunks for exorbitant costs... especially many g12+ pieces. The cost are horrific. But pieces like the gold eyeballs, absolutely crystal your way through.

1. Set a floor for crystals so you always have a reserve. I keep 5k as a floor. I don't spend crystals if it takes me under 5k.

2. Check the store all 4 times it refreshes. Stuff is in there, spend Shard Shop currency wisely.

3. Do good in fleet to get fleet currency for more Shard Shop currency.

4. Finish daily activities every day - you get free Kyros every day now. Sometimes you get 50 or 100 crystals.

5. Prioritise your toons! Build good teams you can use in TBs, that gives you good GAC defence.

6. You do not need to spend crystals on gear you get from daily challenges. Unless it's an emergency, just wait.

I spend a tone of energy to get the gear. Especially as I’m hoarding crystals for the up coming ship rushes. Ship farming is so tough that i want to get both as close to seven stars as possible.
