Fantastic Italian Dinner at Cafe Gioia in Mauritius

We enjoyed a fantastic Italian dinner at Gioia restaurant at Radisson Blu Azuri Resort in Mauritius. Starting with coppa and burrata salad, which is cured meat and the inside of mozzarella, and bacalao fritters, cod fish cakes. We had braised beef cheek with polenta and mushroom tortellini for the main course. Cannoli and pannacotta finish off a great feast. Each dish seemed to get better and the staff were fantastic.

What sort of meat was that marbled meat that you ate with cheese? That restaurant looked top-notch. They did a wonderful job on prep and service. In America they would be tipped well. I know many countries frown on tips. I agree, they should be paid fairly to begin with.
