Rajasthan Election 2024: Banswara Dungarpur is one of the 3 seats in Rajasthan reserved for the scheduled tribes, The advent of a new party here with a unique tribal identity, the Bhartiya Adivasi Party, is making waves and has steadily been gaining ground, posing a threat to both the Congress and the BJP. One of the reasons why the BJP got a Congress crossover and a popular tribal leader, Mahendra Jeet Singh Malviya, joined the saffron party and fight on a BJP ticket. The Congress left without a big face here, is now in an alliance with the BAP but is in a quixotic position with its candidate from the seat refusing to honour the alliance or withdraw from the race.
