Gr8 vlog Brandon and Tosha I really enjoyed watching this food review very much! Both of you are very funny to watch and them three pasta cups look delicious and super good! You peaked my curiosity. This is what I found regarding the white powder / crystals:


From Wiki answers: The white powder is Maltodextrin, which is a polysaccharide that is used as a food additive. It is mainly used as a thickening agent, which helps to thicken the cheese in the Easy Mac bowl.
Basically because you're not going to put milk or margerine into the noodles to act as a binding agent for the cheese powder, this provides something to turn that cheese into creamy goodness. Otherwise you'd end up with cheese that won't stick to the noodles properly.
The reason why they put it in the bowl and not in the cheese itself is that it needs to be activated with water first.

The white powdery substance is in all microwavable mac & cheese… It’s called modified food starch and the reason they put it in there is to actually keep the water from boiling over in the microwave… I investigated it along time ago LOL

The white powder is in there so the noodles won't stick to each other. They tend to clump together when cooked in the microwave.

Awesome awesome video I'm not a fan of Hot Cheetos when I like regular Cheetos and the jalapeno Cheetos maybe if you mix all three of them together and try them it'll probably taste good hope you have a great day look forward to the next video:-) :-)

I just got the bold n cheesy, was leaving the spicy ones for you lol. I havent tried them yet, but probably will tomorrow. I got the box ones not the microwave singles. They put that white stuff in all the microwave pastas not sure what it is.
