So let me get this straight. The reason why Taiga’s channel isn’t coming back, is because YouTube is being a piece of flaming garbage, and picking favorites instead of actually helping their creators.
YouTube is fucking ridiculous.

Imagine you have a car perfectly parked, and a drunk truck driver just crashes into it, destroying it. Your car got completely destroyed, it's just a pile of metal. Logically, you go talk to your insurance company and it goes like this:
-You: Hey! My car got destroyed and it wasn't my fault. Can you help me like you are supposed to?
-Insurance company: You see, the problem is that we cover damages to cars. And you don't have one.
-You: Nono. I DO have one.
-Insurance company: where is it?
-You: Just told you, it got destroyed.
-Insurance company: so you don't have a car. And we only cover damages caused to cars, not to piles of metal.
That is basically the logic that youtube is using (tho in this case, the drunk truck driver is also an employee at the insurance company...)

Man I can still remember Youtube as it was the first few months it had launched. Star ratings for videos, no worries about anything, all kinds of videos being uploaded... Now Youtube is a weathered out husk of what it once was...

I really hope you get your channel back, all of this has been a travesty that shouldn't have happened to you.

YouTube refusing helping you with your channel because it's demonetized makes as much sense as a fire department refusing to come to your house because it's currently on fire. Makes as much sense as emergency services not coming to aid you because you got into a car wreck.

I think Fefe and Taiga should pool their resources together and maybe get Shylily involved too since they were ALL targeted by BassArchive whatever his name was and file a class action lawsuit AND press charges against BassArchive whatever his name is since he’s knowingly sabotaging channels to push his own backwards agenda and using people’s misfortune for his own warped moral gains.

It’s baffling that YouTube works like this, although unfortunately it’s not surprising. I also hate that I can’t do anything to help Taiga (outside of obviously still talking, as he stated), but ultimately I wish him the best luck.

this sounds like what happened to a friend of mine, he did fanfiction, got his channel demonitized over "repetitive content" because whenever he did a series they'd share a thumbnail.
he tried everything, contacting moderation, changing every thumbnail (he does the art by hand digitally if that makes sense, a lot of work) and they still said no, he tried for months....still nothing

I'm not a fan of Taiga's style of content, but I sympathize with anybody having to struggle against the mega-corporate Goliath that is modern YouTube. It's a heinously unfair website, and I hope that in the coming years all the major creators on this platform can come together to organize some sort of online general strike/mass migration to force YouTube to reform its atrocious policies and systems to be more fair to creators and users. I miss the YouTube of the late 2000s. We need to take it back.

This is what happens when certain markets only have one MAJOR competitor and zero competition. They can pretty much treat their customers like complete garbage because they are set on the mindset of, "Where well else are you going to go?"

Imagine if law worked by you not being able to get a day in court because you're being charged with a crime, even if you might be innocent. That would be unbelievably insane and obliterate the entire justice system. Why is YouTube allowed to do this? It's playing with people's livelihood, you can't just do that and get away with it. Where monetization involves income, and this is likely Taiga's primary income source, they are using a catch 22 method to deny his income.

Legally speaking, he has a solid case. This is not that far off from when employers fire people for 'gross insubordination' when they refuse to follow an order that would require them to commit a firing offense.
