Theus says the association hopes that the initiative will soon be replicated across the country, as boarding the current buses can be dangerous for persons with disabilities and the elderly.

The E-buses rolled out in Belize City exactly one month ago. The E-Mobility pilot project was launched in partnership with the United Nations Development Fund, the Ministry of Energy and Logistics, and the Ministry of Transport with funding from the European Union.
