We often hear people say that a double sink is a must have, It's really a 'nice to have' depending on your space, how you live and what the bathroom routine is of those sharing the bathroom. However, depending on the layout of your bathroom, that extra 24" - 30" could be used to extend your shower or for a tall storage/linen cabinet instead. With that in mind, when it comes to a vanity with double sinks, would you love it or leave it?

I'd take the extra space. Maybe a foot or so more in the shower, the rest in extra counter space. I like having the space to do my hair and makeup in the bathroom and would share the sink with hubby in a heartbeat.

Guys don't spend that much time in front of a sink. Heck, if making the shower bigger, put the sink in the shower to brush teeth and shave.

The point is that in the shower you get in you get out...buuut over the the sink you stay some times for an hour to do your hair your makeup...not talking for the extra storage...i love it

The problem there is the bad design, the vanity occupying tje whole space. For a double sink you don't need a massive separation between sinks like in that bathroom. You could have designed a much smaller vanity for 2 sinks and take the extra space for the shower. 70 inches for the vanity is more than enough.
