Valentine's Day is a day of love, at least that's what the advertisements for chocolates and florists tell us.
Doomer is trying to get back home from his 10 hour shift.
At every step, he stumbles on new couples who remind him of what he has not. Sitting for long hours in front of the computer, wojak contemplates his fate asking himself "Is he the only one?"

A while ago, a friend and I fell for the same man. When I found out she had feelings for him too, I backed off. Stopped pursuing him. She had experienced nothing but horrible men in her life, and deserved a chance to be happy.

26 here. after 3 years of actually taking time to learn myself and be single instead of simply relationship hopping, i got to know a new girl. took all the things i learned over that time and applied it, treated her like gold, and we really opened up to each other, became intimate, and got very close.
3 months in she told me she wanted to be alone.

Modern dating is toxic, bros. people that actually take the time to address their shortcomings are met with those unable to do the same for theirs. Rely only on yourself, do not contrive or seek it out, it truly will happen if it is meant to. be prepared for it not to, though.

Don't get down because you don't have a girlfriend. I was with my now ex-fiance for 6 years. She was beautiful and in public we would often get compliments on how happy and great of a couple we made. In reality, at home, she was abusive and made me feel miserable. I live alone now, but I'm the happiest I've ever been. Sometimes the grass isn't always greener, remember that guys.

I'm 21 and recently celebrated my first Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. I still felt empty, so I guess having a gf on Valentine's Day won't make you happy. When I was single I hoped a gf would make me happy and now I'm still miserable. So when you hear that "you need to work on yourself" stuff, don't think it's just a phrase to make you feel better, it's the only truth. Women won't make you happy, you need to work on yourself to be happy. I learnt that lesson today.
