I was born in 1997, so I wasn't old enough to remember the 90's, but I am just old enough to barely remember the death of this era. I remember seeing 9/11 on TV. My Mom was on the phone crying to my Dad while I watched the second plane hit the tower. It may not have been live, it could have been a replay of the footage, but I saw the news on the day it happened. The echo of the 90's continued on a bit into the early 2000's, but by 2008 we were firmly in a new era, and the world I was born into was officially gone. Now it's just a memory, and I'm nostalgic for a decade I was only around for the end of.

1998...pre 9/11. A time when a new technological age was arising, and there was unbridled optimism going into the new millenium. And over time, after several catastrophes, we are now digital nomads, comfortably numb as we grapple with the reality of a future that never came.

AHHHH GOD THE 90s. What an incredible time to be alive. All forms of entertainment were at their absolute peak. Movies were great, video games were groundbreaking, sports were amazing and music was phenomenal. Drugs were fentanyl free and cleaner. Truly a magical time to be alive. I would give anything to go back to the 90s it breaks my heart to think about it for too long. I cherish every memory I have from that decade. Kids today who were born in or after them will never understand how great the pre internet and social media era was. God I miss the 90s so much it hurts
