How can you not love listening to Ed Beach? Easily one of the most likable lead designers out there right now.

And gotta love Firaxis too. They do things they're passionate about, then listen to community feedback, and then refine what they make into something they can love and fans can love too.

Hey EA, Activision, Bethesda, etc, . Take some notes. This is how you deal with your community. Good job Firaxis! So glad I've bought CIV 4, 5 and 6 with every expansion possible for them. Worth every penny IMO.

Many developers talk about listening to their customers/the players of their games. Very few actually manage to do so. Firaxis gets it, and very much so with Civ 6.

This looks absolutely amazing, but one of the biggest grudges that many people hold has not been adressed; the Gossip system.
The problem is mostly that it sometimes tells you useless things (like the fact that you are trading with a certain civ) but most importantly; its in the way. (especially on larger map sizes, it can get really crowded)
Perhaps you missed these complaints, but I think everyone would rejoice if in the next patch, this problem was adressed.

Even though I'm often vehemently critical of Civ6 and its basic design flaws (no use talking about them again), I must say that I really appreciate the quality and polish you always display in your games. There are no game-breaking bugs, game runs smoothly, graphics is fine, music is stellar as in the whole franchise, and you are trying to constantly improve the game.
As someone who's been around since Civ 1 on Amiga 500, I must say: thank you.
