let the notes hang more at the beginning - let them fall, and guide how they fall, little effort, loose... and much, much slower - compare Furtwangler's version - emulate that; you are halfway there - - - -! after each beat, there should be the feeling the whole piece can collapse. this feeling should not leave throughout the piece. but the beauty of that suspense will carry the listener through. Furtwangler is the key! Play obnoxiously slow - spoof out the slowness...
