I believe it was actually played in D minor, however, it’s possible it was performed on a baroque era pipe organ before they had standardized tuning (A=440)

Nothing is wrong with playing other keys. I appreciate this video because it motivates beginners to learn to play (the same) songs in new keys. Though i will say that sometimes its better to move it a few notes down or up, usually depending on the lead vocalist/instrumentalist.
