I just hope Inside Out 2 can leg past Lion King (2019) to take the undisputed animated crown... and also so Dan doesn't have to explain excluding Lion King in his future charts about animated films hahaha😅😂

Loved the data on Twisters. I think it’s clear that a lot of Americans had nostalgia for the original (it was one of the first movies my parents ever took me to). The focus on somewhat-unique-to-America weather disasters probably didn’t help internationally

Love how Dan always brings up inflation adjusted numbers. Those are the numbers that actually matter🙌🏽

1. The Beekeeper being tied for 3rd on longest top 10 runs really shows the weakness of the early year market. I mean... yea.
2. I am wondering which episode we will see the arrival of the Lego Jaws Set on the set, probably in the spot that has been occupied by the Bond car and then the Batmobile. I am guessing not next week, but the week after

The mcu is now over 30 billion from just 34 movies...thats an insane batting average especially after so many movies....I dont think any franchise will beat this in future

Good to see that Twisters hold. Should easily pass $200M now.

Insane to me that Universal is putting out DM4 and Twisters on VOD this week and next despite both doing extraordinarily well domestically. I could see both easily playing all of August. Just a baffling display from Universal to commit to burning financial possibilities despite all signs pointing to money still to be made.

I have some questions regarding Twisters worldwide box office: Since Universal distributed it domestically while Warner Bros distributed it internationally, how do they handle the box office/budget split? How much financial burden is on each studio and how much do they get back? Is it possible that the movie is a smash hit for Universal since it's successful here but a disappointment for WB since it underperformed overseas?

Dan the movie Boderlands is based on a video game. However, for box office tracking doesn't look good for Boderlands. But next week I'm gonna see cuckoo, and tomorrow I'm going to see Deadpool and Wolverine again in Dolby Cinema on AMC.

Interesting regards Twisters. I saw it here in the UK for the 2nd time last week, the only film I’ve seen more than once this year. The original Twister was pretty much even Steven’s in its box office international / US so as you say, interesting that this time it doesn’t appear to have clicked internationally. Personally I really enjoyed it.

Love the Deadpool and Wolverine International Poster.
Went and saw the film for a second time at the weekend.
Narratively not the greatest MCU but boy it is so much fun. 😁

I went to see Twisters here in the UK this past Thursday and have been recommending it to people. I'm perhaps a little biased because I enjoy visiting Arkansas and Oklahoma and I liked seeing it on film, but my mum who has never been to the US also enjoyed it.
