I have sick sinus syndrome. I was passing out several times a day. I had my pacemaker implanted when I was 29. It lasted 17 years before number 2 was installed. I am 56 now and had my 3rd installed last year.

There is not a lot known about sick sinus syndrome, especially is younger individuals. After a long journey of countless doctors visits after having explainable fainting spelling and stop breathing episodes I was diagnosed at the age of three with sick sinus syndrome. I am 32 and I have had four pacemaker changes.

I was just diagnosed at 40 and implanted after years of trying to get help. Years of progressivey worse symptoms. Misdiagnosed with seizures and medicated. Cardiologist dismissed me even with 30s to 149s BPM. Seizure meds weren't stopping my episodes and so I was put inpatient to have 7 day monitoring off of my meds. They asked me to stay a few more days and then on the 8th day I had an episode.

I got sick sinus syndrome from a heart ablation, pacemaker dependent since 28.

I am in Nigeria and just diagnosed with sick sinus syndrome. I don't have the finance to get a pacemaker. I don't know how to go about this. I'm so scared for my life
