Azure Virtual Machine Extensions allow you to run tasks when a virtual machine is first created. This is useful for configuring a newly created machine by updating packages, install software, running commands, etc.

In this tutorial we'll create a Linux virtual machine, set up the Custom Script for Linux extension, create a bash script that will run after the machine is setup and verify that our script ran.
