I know I said I would never ride my motorcycle in Nebraska, but here I am. After several comments were left on the videos, along with some one on one attention to the area. I decided to find out if Nebraska has any place to ride.

Nebraska gets dogged on a bit for being boring but let me tell you… After a long week of work there is NOTHING like driving a straight road through the Sandhills where you can just let your mind wander and not worry about a bunch of traffic taking you out. I guess you have to do it to understand it, but it’s one of the things I love about living here and it’s what made me love riding so much. Don’t tell anyone though, I don’t want a bunch of nerds ruining my Nebraska riding lol

In Nebraska Hwy 12 is the Outlaw Scenic Byway. Hwy 2 is the Sandhills Scenic Byway. Hwy 385 is the Gold Rush Scenic Byway.

I would have stuck to your Guns! I have driven through Nebraska several times...I have never been stuck in 'quicksand' before..but if I ever was...I believe it would be exactly like driving through Nebraska!

FTH... if you're ever "cutting it close" on range left and amount of fuel in the tank... 52 mph and 6th gear in cruise control will extend the range the most on that last gallon of fuel. If you want to stretch the range and lower the stress, slow it down. It might take you 5 to 8 minutes longer to get to the gas station, but you'll make it and it'll be stress free. These 8 to 12 minute vids are just great snap shots of a wonderful road trip. Keep them coming!!!! My M8 107 CI Sport Glide will see 58 to 60 MPG, pen and paper, under those conditions. This is where a stock cam and stock exhaust vs a stage 2 torque cam, pipe and Dyna tune gives you the extra range.

Greats series. Road from Sturgis one year on the 385 through Nebraska and Colorado. Longest stretch of road ever. You could see for miles.

Heading to Montana from SC next week. Nebraska is on my route for a day. Looks great! I’m headed right past the “Dutton” ranch… went past it last year before I had seen any of the series. That show got me hooked on Montana. 😂

Not sure if you'll see this FTH but it was a little weird seeing a guy from California eating at the hometown café in St James. Very rare I recognize something on YouTube. I've eaten at that café numerous times and it looked like you drove through St Peter with all the US flags in the park. My grandparents actually live right outside of St Peter. Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up!

My dad grew up in Nebraska. He joined the Air Force after high school and after being stationed in California, when he got out he moved to Southern California to start his family. THANK GOD

My wife and I crossed through the entire length of Nebraska on I-80 as part of our Iron Butt run last month. It’s a great place to crush a bunch of miles quickly.

Oh boy, I forgot about The Outlaw Trail, which I believe is HWY 20, you can catch it over around Yankton, SD, and roll west just below the SD border all the way to Valentine. Supposed to be a beautiful rolling hills ride, thru farm land, small rural towns (Niobrara, NE a small historic town with a great brewery I believe). That trail is a whole lot more enjoyable than I-80 which is no fun no matter how much one loves Nebraska or the Cornhuskers!

I wished I had known you were coming through St James mn., I'd have bought your breakfast at the Hometown Cafe. St. James has been my home town for 45 years and we all love our Hometown Cafe. And you should have gone and grabbed some donuts at Schmidt's bakery 😋
I'll catch ya again in the Hills in a week and a half!
Be safe Ryan and take care!

That sure looked like a great place for a food stop. I've never ridden through Nebraska, and it sure looks like a grind.
