No joke back when I was in 2nd grade in 2012 I made a Christmas list and the list contained

1. A Windows 8 laptop
2. A Windows phone
3. A Wii U

ironically all the things on the list failed

So buddy, if you really wanna know why Nintendo went with "Wii U" instead of "Wii 2, " it's because "2" is prounced "Nee" in Japanese. Ain't no way anyone would literally label their merchandise a weenie.

I remember seeing Wii U ads on TV, I was pretty ignorant at the time and just thought that it was a gamepad accessory for the original Wii. I thought Wii U games were just games that needed the gamepad accessory, I had no idea until much later that it was actually it's own system.

God I defended this system to hell and back. I was in complete denial back in the day, and for some reason, I was afraid Nintendo would go the route of Sega if they made a new console, even if I was well aware of the Wii U's major flaws.

The marketing was bad on the Wii U. I honestly thought it was a new version of the Wii with a new design kind of like the Wii Mini. I didn't know it was a completely new console as a whole not just another Wii until like 2 years after release
