One of my favourite ballads from the 90’s, “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough” was written in 1992 by Patty Smyth & Glen Burtnik. Don Henley joined Smyth on vocals. The song takes a melancholic look at what happens when love isn’t enough to keep a couple together and the best thing for a relationship is for it to end.

Fun Fact - Patty Smyth was invited to join the band Van Halen to replace David Lee Roth as lead singer. However, she declined the offer, because she was eight months pregnant.

Hope you’re enjoying these covers…(no video for these since we're in lockdown) We’ve got a few more coming up. Don’t forget to hit the subscribe button to stay updated.
