This video will show you how to connect 2 solaredge inverters together using CAT 5 cable and configure one as Master and the other as Slave via RS-485 Modbus.

I will show you how to make the CAT 5 cable. How to wire the cable into the inverters.

Then, I will show you how to configure each inverter through the solaredge menu to set one inverter as Master and the other as Slave.

Did you wire both inverters to AC in parralel? No issues with phases synchronization?

Trying to figure out how to do this to set up master and slave on a pair of solaredge inverters that do not have the displays. One of my inverters has an RGM pre-built into it the other one does not which is causing production reporting issues. Basically the inverter has the built-in RGM is reporting its production the one without the rgm is not so I'm only seeing production from the one that has it built in. Solaredge tier 3 support agent told me I would need to connect an Ethernet CAT5 between the two ethernet ports and set up a master and slave. Both of my inverters do not have the digital display nor do they have the rs-485 protocol module that you show here. They both have 5G wireless capability and I have to use the solaredge SetApp for doing all of my setup and programming support agent said to just connect an ethernet cable directly to the ethernet ports on each inverter since they are not used for network communication.

Hi, I just added my second inverter. What are the letter mappings between master and slave? I was able to get it connected between master and meter successfully with your last video.

How do you access the Data from the slave? Via Modbus TCP you can get those from the master but how do i access the slave? Should be one inverter changed to Modbus ID 2?
