We must share this video with as many schools as possible. Children must be made aware of these invisible pollutant monsters and told to Keep Clear of idling vehicles as they travel to/from nursery and school during the most polluted times of the day.

Thank you very much for this clear video explanation. How can we attract people to learn about the importance of the Air they breathe? In Portugal it is very difficult to involve communities in public debates on this topic. Air pollution does not appeal, and yet people may be breathing bad Quality Air in their own houses. It is vitally important to raise awareness on the invisible enemy and create Citizen SCIENCE Projects to monitor Air Quality in our houses, both inside and outside. Children and youg people must be educated on these topics. I realize school curriculum is not enough. Certain human activities and habits, such as wood burning and agricultural burnings outside, as well as wildfires, generate high levels of pollutants. Portugal's forest fires may even affect northern european countries.

one of the most effective way to protect yourself against pollutants is ventilation : keep as much as possible a constant flow of air from outside your home ( make sure the outside air is cleaner than the inside air .) even if you cannot create a constant flow, make it as often as possible even at night but be reasonable if it is too cold cover more your body of course ! now how do you know the air is polluted ?? ( I am a doctor ) you have different levels of attack .phase 1 only the eyes start to burn more or less with some coughings right away that will not last but are a signals already and take it as a warning !! phase 2 nose and throat start to burn phase 3 difficult breathing and very irregular intake inspiration phase 4 loss of balance vertigo phase 5 cannot think rapidly and clearly phase 6 pain in the chest meaning heart muscles don't receive enough oxygen or intoxicated !! great danger of heart attack ! get out very fast from where you are specially if at home !! go outside look for fresh air .it is known that houses are 10 to 20 times more polluted than outdoors .the time of exposition to pollution is very important .the longer it is the more it will affect the body .how do you assess the degree or quantity of pollution in most places ?? for example if you go in a polluted place for the first time and your eyes start to burn in 3 hours compared to if it burns in 10 minutes it is obvious that this last place is much more polluted of about 10 times more .so you can get an approximate idea of the quantity of pollution situation ..keep in mind that the symptoms are the best indications of the pollution presence . if it is very important try not to breathe directly and use a mask and if not available use a piece of fabric that you have on your body and put it in front of your mouth or nose and breathe Through it .and at least you will filter a part of the air and get better protection untill you get out of the place .very fast . now if the situation is chronic and you breathe everyday polluted air .then you will experience several health problems due to long duration of the exposition then you need more informations from other doctors like finding if possible the several causes of pollutants and try to avoid them or eliminate them .already you must know that it is man who create them .for instance most cleaning products ( clothes ground and windows paintings and how often they are used . also new furnitures contain toxic volatile compounds that stay emitting their fumes for months and years .also curtains and carpets clothes and fabric coming from China they use sometimes highly toxic products to protect them from the molds during their transport by sea in the containers .usually these go away after cleaning by hands and regular cleaners .sometimes they need to stay overnight with water cleaners. you can smell them or keep them a few seconds close to your face and check the effects on eyes or nose .you will learn very fast to detect them if their are still polluted or inoffensive .learn to smell all the new products that you buy and enter in your home .very often you will know right away if they are polluted ; most of them have a smell !!! learn to recognize them .if you find it is polluted and you intend to clean it meanwhile it will continue to pollute your home environment .what to do is to put it in a plastic bag closed hermetically so that it will stay contained inside and not around you . all these informations will help you to protect yourself and be more confident how to confront several actual society problems . and it may even save your life by avoiding dangerous conditions either solving them .or improving them .

Mam, nowadays whosoever talks about environment protection they talk about switching to plant based product but this could lead to deforestation and also such a large population cannot depend on plants entirely so I think reduce m reuse and recycle will help but if you enlighten us with your inspiring alternative ideas to minimize waste generation and save our mother earth and this would be very h

Some just should realise of how the heat of a busy city and pollution is harming us instead of frustrating, making a fun of us and keeping us apart of the privileges, i have always cared for the environment, but it can not return this care if others don´t respect, this is serious stuff and should be taken as priority for their goodness, it can affects to us all in time, will never support anything that ruins the purity of the environment
