It's 2022, the Switch is 5 years old and we still don't have themes.

Gen 10 definitely needs to release in 2026! The 3 year cycle needs to end! We already know we will get DLC my theory is we will get DLC 1 for a expansion of the Great Crater, DLC 2 The Islands near Paldea, and DLC 3 near the border of Kalos and Paldea. I have a feeling Riddler Khu is teasing that Gen 9 DLC will be longer then Gen 8 DLC.

It is really interesting going into Gen 9 now with the knowledge of Sword and Shield having DLC. Because Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra felt like extra treats while base Scarlet and Violet 100% are hinting at or building up to something. Now that we’re completely on the Switch, I’m expecting a lot.

ILCA Johto is a crazy thought, but I’ll take anything for updated Johto. But praying most for Legends 🙏

Hopefully they introduce voice acting in their games after Scarlet and Violet. I feel like they’re missing that.

I think for a cool gimmick, they should adopt Tagteams from the tcg. Have 2 Pokémon that work together, to use a single move. Tagteam Pokémon examples: Pikachu & Zekrom, Gardevoir & Gallade, Gengar & Clefairy. The tag team forms would be like megas, and you’d have to obtain each Pokémon to complete the pairs

I would love to see the gen 10 game being a large battle festival. maybe a cruise around Japan; going back to the start 😉.

I stand by my argument that Colosseum and XD need revamps with the extended dex making Orre more extensive as well as a third game to fill out a trilogy where maybe Cipher gets Celebi corrupted and time becomes a clusterfuck in Orre while you go around trying to stop Cipher again

DLC is Guaranteed for Scarlett/Violet first of which is March 2023 with the launch of home.

And Scarlett/Violet will 100% be the competitive gaming Meta until about 2025 with a potential Generation 10 in 2026.

If we get another game between that it will likely be a new legends title.

Also, if we get a Black/White 3 it’s not going to be that far out. A Gen 5 remake (if we get one) will be right before a Gen 10 announcement

The most possible thing from this list you made is a Pokémon Legends: Johto

I can only imagine what the starters might look like in Gen 10. I can picture a bear based grass starter, a fire starter based on a mole, and then a sea snake that’s a water starter

Generation 10 would be a major surprise by just having its own unique engine developed for the switch. Just a show of graphical and performance improvement will be major hype. It will probably a new region. It wouldn’t need all those gimmicks. Maybe the gimmick could be field effects like Reborn has. That would be a cool switch up

If they are going to do anything involving Unova in the future, whether it's a Black and White 3 or a new Legends game, then they should involve The Original Dragon. We have yet to see this mysterious pokemon. It's been a mystery since the first Black and White games.

probably just my wishful thinking but I really hope in Gen 10 we get to have all pokemon in the Pokedex, be it regional/paradox/hisuian, whatever, plus all the gimmicks, Z moves, Dyna/Gigantamax, Mega and Tera types, and Gen 10 gimmicks, like the Anime Masters 8 battles where all the strong trainers we know from previous gens like Cynthia, Leon, Red (And yes maybe a chance for Geeta to redeem herself XD)

I understand that given how lazy they have been in recent gens, what I mention is very unlikely to happen. But if it does I'll be very happy

My personal predictions:
2023: S/V DLC, ofc
2024: Gen 5 remakes / black 3 and white 3, I personally don't see Johto coming before Unova, considering there's much less demand for Johto, at least from what I've heard.
2025: Gen 10, they're not ending the 3 year cycle. Trust me.
2026: Johto remakes, Let's go Johto, or Legends Johto, one of the three possibly, or maybe even 2 in one year like they did with Sinnoh
2027: Possibly gen 6 remakes, or maybe even Pokemon Z or something like that
2028: Gen 11, again they're not ending the 3 year cycle.

Oh yeah and, I forgot to say this, but, there's no feasible chance they're bringing back pixel art. It makes no sense in terms of marketing and everything.

X/Y was my favorite game. I’d LOVE to see a remake.
I also really want to see Black/White 3, especially since Ingo was transported back in time to Hisui. How is Emmet holding up in the present (or was he transported back in time, too)?

I hope the dlc would add regional forms for legendaries just like what happened to the three legendary birds in the crown tundra

I’m gonna also try predicting some stuff:
1- in the dlc, we will get more paradox pokemon, I think the starters would make a lot of sense
2- we’ll get more legend games
3- next Eeveelution will be a steel type
4- next Pokémon generation will take place in Canada
5- the unused Fire Fairy type will be used in the next generation
