How To Frame A Warehouse
Показать описание
I’m going to show you how we framed this 5000 square foot warehouse in under one minute.
First the guys put down sill seal on the foundation walls.
Next, they measure and transfer the location of each anchor bolt onto the pressure treated sill plate.
They drill holes and drop the plates over top of the anchor bolts.
The plates are fastened down with galvanized nuts and washers.
The studs for this building are 16-foot-long Southern Yellow Pine 2x8s.
Because these walls are so tall and heavy- the guys frame them in place.
Four ring shank nails on both sides of each stud.
Next, they install 2x4 girts 30 inches on center.
These girts along with the purlins on the roof, give them a place to fasten their metal siding.
The plans call for the bottom girt to be a pressure treated 2 x 8.
This helps to tie the studs to the sill plate and will be moisture resistant.
The guys braced up and added the purlins to the first four roof trusses while they were on the ground.
This gave them a stable platform to start with then they set the rest of the trusses one by one.
I was impressed, they had all the trusses set by lunchtime, and by the end of the day they had the metal roof on.
We’re planning to show this entire project, so be sure to like and subscribe. @hausplans
