This is the best kiss in kdramas so far. No lust or sloppy mess. It's pure emotions and we can actually cut the tension with a knife lol. Yijin always the thinker, he doesn't half-ass anything and definitely not with her relationship. Heedo just do whatever she wants headstrong. He is sure this is his true love, but for heedo it's her first and Yijin doesn't want to lead her on in any way. He needs her to figure out her own feelings first. He's been asking if she has faith in him or not for several episodes now. I wonder if he ask that again here to confirm. He wouldn't kiss her back just because his whole body and soul yearns for it.

Really like how the story build up here. Deserves the best kiss for this.

Not once, not ever, not even in a room filled with tension had YiJin thought about kissing Heedo. But she did. 😭 It's obvious he did not kiss back on purpose but his gaze after the kiss has awakened something in me. My poor soul.

As a filmmaker in the making, this was such a beautiful cinematic scene. The lighting, the colour tone, the intentional extended silence, the shots between the window when you can only see their faces, and of course the amazing actors for being able to achieve such thick tension that you can feel it through the screen. I don't know how to explain this properly but before the kiss, the awkward, sexual tension is so strong but when they finally kiss that tension just dissipates and you're left with a sweet lingering feeling, The director did an amazing job. I love this drama so much as a k-drama fanatic and as a filmmaker, I need to know who their cinematographer is and take notes from them😩

Out of all the kdramas I've watched, I've never felt this much tension between two actors adding to the consideration that it is just a simple kiss with no response from the ML. Lol it's not like they really kissed each other but why is it that everytime I watch this scene my heart starts to beat fast.

Yijin mentioned that he wanted to stay by Heedo’s side for as long as he can. He will not let anything ruin that connection. When Heedo kissed him, they entered a new phase of their relationship, and it depends on him on how he will handle the situation. He held himself back. It’s not a rejection but not an acceptance either. He loves Heedo, as if it was as normal & vital to him as breathing. But kissing her back and its significance is something he isn’t ready for and don’t know if Heedo is ready for yet, either. At least not YET. Reciprocating the kiss will have a lot of consequences. But he was breathless. It was tame, but not passionless. He felt it. And Yijin let her do what she wants. It conforms and parallels to his confession that he expects nothing in return for his love.

All the power, consent, and initiation are on Heedo. She can pull away whenever she wants to without any sort of influence from Yijin.

From heedo's vulnerability and desperation to yijin's acceptance, the entire ambience, shadow silhouette, dim lit room, color of their outfits, close proximity, the warm intimacy, initial awkwardness and the sweet, tender, delicate kiss initiated by heedo, as she turned 20. This kiss served as the perfect turning point in their relationship from friends to lovers. I believe, yijin will take some more time to ponder over heedo's action, it was quite unexpected for him, but it'll work out.

I could feel the tension in the room right after they were left alone. I was anticipating that they might kiss any moment now but still wasn't sure. And when that countdown began... 10..9..8...and my girl heedo ATE THAT KISS.. I LEGIT MY SOUL LEFT MY BODY. I DIED AND CAME BACK TO LIFE.
I dont know about their world but my world definately ended right there and then.
