Global Korea Scholarships 2023, fully funded scholarships for various levels: undergraduate scholarships, master’s scholarships, PhD and research programs. These are full scholarships for international students of many countries.

Details of this fully funded scholarships for international students:
The Global Korea Scholarship ( GKS for short) is sponsored by Korean government. This scholarship was previously known as GKSP scholarship program.
It provides international students opportunities to study in the Republic of Korea.
The number of scholarships is subject to change each year depending on the government's budget.
GKS-U & GKS-UIC are the undergraduate scholarship programs and GKS-G is the graduate scholarship program.
Every year GKS-U offers about 200 undergraduate scholarships.
The new program, called GKS-UIC (University Industry Cooperation) which is announced this year offers 100 undergraduate scholarships.
You can apply for an Associate degree or a Bachelor degrees.
At graduate level, GKS-G program aims to invite nearly 1400 international students to purse a graduate level degree or research in Korea.
You can apply for master or PhD courses or research program at general graduate schools of Korean universities.
648 embassy track scholarships and 730 university track scholarships will be offered.
The program durations are
- 2 to 3 years for associate degrees,
- 4 to 6 years for bachelor's degrees,
Bachelor's degree programs of 5 to 6 years such as Architecture and Medicine are newly added from the 2022 GKS-U program.
- 2 years for master's degrees
- 3 years for doctoral degrees.
and 6 months or 1 year for research program.
Plus 1 year of Korean language training prior all the regular degree programs above.
Various fields of study are listed in the “University Information” package.
Fields of study for GKS-UIC university track program are Natural Science, Technology and Engineering field.

The GKS scholarships are fully funded with generous benefits.
Eligibility criteria of the scholarships are:
Citizens of all countries except Korea can apply for these scholarships.
Applicants
- Have adequate health
- Be under 25 years of age for undergraduate or under 40 years of age
There are two ways to apply for Korean Government scholarships either to the Korean Embassy of your country or directly to the domestic university of Korea.
Announcements about GKS scholarships are at Study In Korea government website.

The selection procedures involves three rounds.
Each year, the National Institute for International Education NIIED will announce the scholarship application guidelines in the Study In Korea government website.
In first round, each embassy or university will release their 1st round selection schedule on their website.
Deadline and announcement date will be set by each Korean embassy and university.
You contact them and follow their instructions to submit your applications.
For University Track, you await further confirmation of passing the first round from the faculty.
The embassy or university will send successful candidates' applications and related documents to NIIED.
Successful candidates of the 2nd round will be announced by NIIED.
Embassy Track applicants who pass the 2nd round selection will be reviewed by three universities which they initially applied to in the 3rd round.
NIIED will inform final results to Embassies and Universities.
The final successful candidates will be announced on Study in Korea website.
