Fun fact from my retired Naval dad: if a commander is assigned to head a ship, he or she is the "captain of the ship" while also still having the Naval rank of commander. How that applies to cartoon characters on cereal boxes, I don't know lol.

I once told my former fiancee, who was from Puerto Rico, that I'd never seen a pineapple tree. He laughed so damn hard and I didn't catch on. 🤷🏿 We've been broken up for about 7 yrs now but I heard he's still laughing! 🤦🏿🤣

In the Loreal kids shampoo commercials as a kid, I remember when they said no tears, they wiped the shampoo across kids' eyes. We aren't mistaken. They advertised it that way.

I bought the “no more tears” shampoo for my son when he was a kid. The commercials literally said, “No more tears” as in liquid coming from eyes. They didn’t pronounce it like a synonym for “rips.” But what they demonstrated was that it wouldn’t drip into eyes. When I was a kid, shampoo was pretty runny and could easily get in one’s eyes. I find that shampoos these days are more concentrated than they used to be before the 1990’s versions. I loved the No More Tears version that was a cherry almond scent. My son liked it a lot, too.

That no tears one is complete bs. I remember when that stuff first came out they would legit say no tears while showing a little kid swiping suds out of her eyes. I call the BS.

A number of years ago, we had a friend that made a statement that hummingbird didn't have legs. She doubled down by saying she had it on "authority" that their feet were just attached to the body. She later found out that they actually did have legs, but were covered by body feather. She died a bit later. This revelation did not kill her....

I definitely remember No Tears commercials of the suds getting in kids' eyes and just wiping it away. Squirting shampoo directly into your eyes is a whole different thing and not a test I'd expect it to live up to. And I say it's still tears (crying) cause you're not going to cry at your hair getting tangled and the pain of getting those knots brushed out.
