A Leather Gift For The BBQ Enthusiast - Project 1 (Part 2)

Let's attach this tooled piece to a case without any hardware! Watch my dye and finish process start to finish on the tooled piece from last week's episode and then learn how to attach leather to another object. The technique I use for this BBQ case will also work on other things like jewelry cases, rope cans, or coolers.

If you would like this pattern for yourself, it is available in the Leather Life Community. There is a link below in case you haven't joined the group yet. Be sure to share a picture in the group after you tool up the pattern!

There is also a link for this exact BBQ Case that I am using if you would like to do the same project. I figured it was great for gift giving season. It's an inexpensive case that looks really nice after attaching some leather to it!

I've got my tools, I've got my stain, I'm saving my two squares of leather for later, I'm going to order two shoulders for some practice and some projects, my first project was dressing up my tools after they arrived, my second project was adding an extension to my swivel knife, my third project will be a strop as soon as my leather arrives, and then maybe a tooled cover for my box of stamps. I'm on a roll😊 lots of potential.

Would this same glue technique work on wood and/or metal? Thanks again for the great tutorials.

Do you use 100% resolene? Or, do you use a 50% resolene 50% water mix?
