Wake Forest University is in Winston-Salem, NC. It is named for the town of Wake Forest, NC, which is where it was originally founded. That town is just north of Raleigh, NC.

Fun fact: Wake Forest (judging by total student population including undergrads and post-grads) is the smallest power-5 school in the country. It’s a private school (very expensive just like it’s in-state counterpart Duke) it’s in the ACC conference and has one of the most Incredibly Beautiful campuses I’ve ever seen. I’m biased since I got my undergraduate degree there…but left and got my Graduate Degree from the University of North Carolina @ Wilmington (which is also a great school). But damn I missed those power-5 football/basketball games no doubt during the two years I spent at UNCW getting my Grad degree.

Fun fact from a Winston-Salem native: originally WFU was in the city of Wake Forest, also in NC. The founder of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company (the make Camel and almost everything else) wanted his daughter to go there but he didn't want her to be so far from home. So he FREAKING PAID for the university to build a whole new campus and move to Winston, and they've been here ever since.

I live about 20 min from Wake forest and have worked with them before
