He's from my town stevenage. He lives in london now and is married and works as an energy efficiency inspector. My dad is Friends with his adoptive mother and he still plays at small gigs here and there. He played at a place called icu club in stevenage yesterday (easter sunday 2023) and played this song reminding the audience he was once on "the voice" and that this is how far its gotten him haha he's a christian now aswell.

Never really comment on YouTube videos but this performance really hits me in the heart to this day after seeing it live on TV many years ago. He sings it with so much passion and emotion and it's one of those "eye closing" moments at one part of the song where I really get into it. Knowing about his background and early years too makes it more emotional. I hope he is doing well and is continuing to make music. <3

I've been a U2 fan for 26 years, never heard anyone cover one of their songs better than them. Never watched any talent shows like x-factor etc - don't like art as competition.
Just happened to see the voice.
Wow this blew me away, not only am I having trouble going back to the original, it was great to see a soldier of love given a chance. You have to be a certain kind to get a record deal. There's a lot of money money money stuff and gentle souls go unnoticed. Please keep doing your thing.
