I like this list but I disagree with a few things. Firstly, Carthage, Kievan Rus and Austria Hungary are too high up on the list and definitely should be placed below the Achaemenid Persian Empire (which I feel like should be at the top of this list), being the very first superpower in history and governed 44% of the world's population, bringing countless systems, inventions and advancements like human rights, multiculturalism, women's rights, refrigeration, monotheism, stuff we would not expect to see in an empire 2500 years ago. I also feel like quite a few empires are pretty underrated, like the Ethiopian Empire . The Ethiopian Empire was one of the longest lasting empires in history stretching from the middle ages to the modern era and somehow managed to build a great Christian power in the region while completely surrounded by Muslim powers like Yemen, the Malmuk Sultanate, the Islamic Caliphates etc.

Austria-Hungary number 1!

Despite it being popular nowadays to bitch on the Habsburg Monarchy for its supposed suppression of its minorities, looking at matters objectively, Austria-Hungary treated its minorities the best among all European Powers of the time by a huge margin.

Aside from this, the Dual Monarchy was a rapidly developing, powerful entity. Its year on year growth was one of the fastest in Europe, and by 1913, the overall Austro-Hungarian GNP(PPP) is estimated to have catched up to that of Metropolitan France. Meanwhile the country was also ahead of Italy in terms of GNP per Capita (PPP).

The Habsburg Monarchy was the guarantee of prosperity and global relevance for the region, its demise is one of the greatest tragedies of the 20th century.

Sorry for my rambling, I'm just happy Austria-Hungary was included in the video, and it was even placed rather high!
