Still can't figure out why cruise lines are being bailed out. They register their ships in foreign countries to avoid taxes and mostly employ foreign nationals.

Thank you for saying how important getting back out to restaurants will make us all feel normal again. 😊

While I agree with most of it's said here, I don't think I agree with the last bit. Restaurants are not really the place to go if you want to eat healthy. The best place for that is home cooking. Healthy food is usually expensive, but it's cheaper at home.

I thought American restaurants paid their staff with the 'oppurtunity' to beg for tips.

Half of Americans cannot afford to go to restaurants.
Fast food not included.

People do not NEED to go to a restaurant, they chose to go for a number of reasons.

Make no mistake, Restaurants are an integral part of our Society! Primarily because the definition of "Great Food" is where you don't have to clean up the mess!

Sounds reasonable but like the PPP, money doesnt always go where money is supposed to go.

Candidly, restaurants charging $15-20 for a salad or entrees had kept me away. Eating at a sit down restaurant for a family of 4 is $80-$100. Easy. That's just not worth it.

Feeling perfectly normal not paying $100 for $10 worth of questionable food.

80% of PPP money went to giant corporations & 1%

"..that's very reasonable..."

and that's why it'll never happen.

I've spent 20 years in the industry, 17 in fine dining. I thought I had a career, now I wonder if there will be anything worth going back to. The working class needs to come together right now, we are being pushed out of society.

Thanks Tom Colicchio! We do need to help support those that take care of us and feed us.

In Mexico there’s a private initiative where restaurants and other businesses are selling special coupons to be redeemed after the quarantine ends. It’s a win-win for sellers (they save their companies) and customers (they get special discounts or a bonus when they purchase).

After this, sadly, how many people are going to be able to afford to eat, let alone at a restaurant?
