Joy Milne is a “supersmeller” who is able to detect Parkinson’s disease early by the
smell of the sebum samples taken from people’s neck and backs. She first noticed a change in her husband’s smell 12 years before he got diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Now she is traveling around the world, giving presentations and working on scientific projects to help the science community produce an early diagnostic test for Parkinson’s. This presentation is based on the New York Times Article with he title “The Woman Who Could Smell Parkinson’s” published on June 14 th ,2024.
