How right is the consideration of adding cost of migration in the Cloud TCO side while trying to do a apple-to-apple comparison between on-premise vs on-cloud ?? if the organization decides to continue as is with on-premise / data center / colo bases setup with hardware refresh, would not that cost them for migrating applications from current aged and legacy systems to new hardware? in fact that migration would be more cumbersome and costly than migrating to the cloud and can be accomplished much faster. hence, for TCO comparison .. i would suggest not to consider including migration cost in the calculation of TCO, when intend to compare the savings. right?
