Storm causes outages, downed power poles in east Las Vegas neighborhood

According to NV Energy, about 15 power poles were taken down by a storm that blew through a neighborhood near Boulder Highway and Tropicana.

This year early has experiencing extreme drought. On the plus side the storm brings in the fresh water needed by human, and other species like fishes.

How about this; put the lines underground. It's the 21 century. It would eliminate this happening. This means customers can be without power for 2-3 days perhaps.

Ya'll might want to try getting some REAL telephone poles instead of toothpicks! Those things are pathetic! No wonder they broke.
