Xperia 1 VI Coming Soon!? Rumors and More! I'm Excited!

The Sony Xperia 1 VI might show up as soon as Mobile World Congress and I'm excited about the rumors and possible camera upgrades, along with adding more AI and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3! If Sony can crop the price, add more AI for the point and shoot camera capabilities and then make the cameras even better with upgrades, I think the Sony Xperia 1 VI can really be a competitive phone that Sony fans will love, especially if they can release it earlier in 2024!

I can't afford $1, 000 flagships but if I could I'd buy a Sony. I hope they keep the headphone jack and microSD card, those are requirements for me that I had to finally cave on.

Sony really need to provide software and security support for a minimum of 5 years. The prices of Sony phones in Amazon is insane especially in middle east, 1 mark 5 around 2000 US dollars and above in Saudi Arabia. No sales and service outlets in most of the countries.

Adam, we definitely need OIS + EIS stabilization while recording 4k60 !! Interface would be smoother, specially while using VideoPro app. Very often while recording, movement in viewfinder is not smoothly represented. Really like this phone, but there are some areas which could be improved. Also I would decrease screen resolution and add possibility to drop refresh rate at least to 24hz like Samsung.

Let's hope they add 5 years minimum of OS and security updates and if that's the case I might get one. That's been the deal breaker each time I consider buying the phone. Maybe they can leverage their Playstation division into doing the updates???

Does samsung s24 plus support ldac and aptx bluetooth codec? I know these codec are supported on xperia 1 v but wonder how much better they sound if i was to compare with other brands like apple even that use aac codec.

I am waiting for the Sony Xperia series to run 120Hz, 4K Display all the time and upscale whatever you are running into the screen. I don't think Sony Xperia 1 VI will give me that but Sony Xperia VIII

Rumours for the Sony Xperia 1 VI:

1. Triple 48mp cameras
2. 6.9" screen
3. Micro selfie camera in the top bezel (due to bigger screen)
4. Smaller bezels
5. A world first, a watermark of some sort to the pictures taken using the phone so the world knows that the image is authentic and not fake
