I'm an astrophycist, blackbody defines the colour and temperature of a star, our star is 5270 Kelvin (5000°C or 9020°F) and is a white dwarf star. A colder temperature would be a red star (4000 Kelvin) as it is dying or a hotter star would be blue (10, 000 Kelvin)

Atmospheric scattering (otherwise called Rayleigh scattering) is the reason why the sky is blue, why the sun appears as different colours as well, causing diffuse sky radiation. The photons (light beam or particles) have to pass through our atmosphere, which is filled with gases. The wavelengths of the photon (which is smaller than a gas molecule) interact and reflect their colours instead.

when I heard felix saying that the sun is black was a known physics concept, I never looked so confused in my life. Only to realise he was talking about the blackbody spectrum made me laugh.

Because of this, to “combat” the other festival they made Christmass a thing so they could go to the festival but instead of celebrating Jupiter or whatnot they would secretly celebrate Jesus while going with the others
