I don't understand how some people feel like a player is "owed" something because he waited. IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY! You play the BEST PLAYER, PERIOD! Play the player that gives your TEAM the best chance to win! This isn't golf or tennis. I can give less than a fck about Milroe "waiting", IF Ty is better at running the offense, Ty should get the start! That's being fair to the TEAM! Jalen had MULTIPLE opportunities to put a stranglehold on the starting QB job going into this season and he didn't. I lose ALL respect for ANYONE who watched what he did in his significant playing opportunities last season and says what he did warrants him being QB1 this season! I don't want to see those types of QB performances from the QB this year! That ish is unacceptable! Yes, Jalen is dynamic as a runner, but Bama has too many good WRs and TEs for him or any other QB not to be an adequate ball distributor. They need a point guard at QB, not a RB! They have a TON of great RBs on the team! Neither guy should be QB1 at this juncture of the process.

In watching Milroe play last season, he looked very lost, and inaccurate. He mite can fix the lost part, but you can't fix inaccurate.
I think Milroe may start the season, but Ty will replace him once the inaccuracy rears its ugly head and costs them a game.

The problem is you can't beat Georgia with a run first QB. You have to have a QB who can make big-time precision throws. We have to stop thinking every running QB is going to be the next Jalen Hurts. Look how long it took for Jalen Hurts to pop. Ty Simpson isn't a statue in the pocket. He can move

Milroe can't throw... seriously -- Bama wins only 10 games if he is on the field -- I don't know why some individuals can look at his play over the last year and can't see there's a big problem in Tuscaloosa --- Thats just silly. This is typical hype for bama -- they don't have a QB this year. Maybe the portal saves them? Tommy is there to try and salvage what he can and why Saban is probably going to try and run it more this year.. because they don't have a QB that can throw ... or there would be no debate ...

I think sabin should utilize both of them like they did with hurts and tua. Using them in the right situations would give sabin a offensive edge and more options of schemes.

The defense had to save Alabama against losing to A&M. Milroe wasn't coached up by O'Brian the way he should .

We didn’t bring in 5 star speedster Malik Benson to block. I’m not calling a winner yet but I’m leaning towards Simpson. Gotta remember Clemson went after Simpson before Cade Kubnik for a reason. Accuracy will win the job. Rooting for them both. RTR!

If Ty Simpson had been the quarterback last year we would’ve won the championship . Jalen Milroe Hasn’t proven that he is smart enough to even run the offense

Jalen Milroe is going to be the quarterback to get the yardage needed when nothing is open. They'll teach him how to slide but Jalen Milroe can take hits as we've already seen. He's not easily sacked. Not taking anything away from Simpson but I'm sticking with Milroe. I can tell by the way he shuffled his feet in the pocket his confidence needs to catch his ability but I believe his mistakes will only help him. I'm looking at a first round draft pick. A Mike Vick, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts type player

Apparently this guy hasn’t watched Ty simpson much bc he’s just as quick as Milroe but likely has a more accurate, stronger arm. (I’m not saying he’s a smarter or better runner though)

We beat a and m with Milroe but he damn near cost us the game with turnovers, and the following week in one drive an interception against Austin pea...4 turnovers in 4 qtrs and 1 drive

There's no competition! Jalen showed us last year when we needed him against Texas a&m what he could do! Simpson wasn't ready! Case closed Simpson needs to win back up because Eli is pretty good! RT
