I have heard That the worx stuff is decent DIY grade stuff. Definitely not a platform I’m interested in, BUT I do give them props for doing a X2 battery system rather than a 40v platform. I know it’s the way of the world and I’m not completely blind, sometimes is justifiable to switch to a whole new battery platform, but for the most part (at least 90% of the time)when these companies make a new system, there isn’t any good reason other than profits that it can’t at least be backwards compatible. I really have respect for makita’s 18v X2 platform. But their new 40v not being backwards compatible is a step in the opposite direction. There’s no reason that battery couldn’t be backwards compatible like the metabo multivolt and flexvolt dewalt. I wish Milwaukee would follow suit on the X2. I get their MX platform, but it’s a big stretch for most of us. A X2 platform would be a lot more feasible and a Milwaukee multivolt type system would even be acceptable. The dewalt flexvolt kind of irked me when it came out, but I got the reasoning, and at least it is backwards compatible and with that X2 mower, I hope we see more of that from dewalt. Even Ryobi has seen the benefit of the X2 with their miter. Would’ve been nice if they would’ve seen the light with their OPE before they came out with the 40v

All these little knockoff start ups wouldn’t be so bad if they would utilize an existing companies battery design So as to be compatible with a persons existing setup
