Actually the British museum borrowed the book from the Cairo museum.
That's what museums do, you know, borrow things.

How did the book of the dead(egyptian) get to the British museum????

I often wonder how much longer it will take until the experts finally notice that the ancient Egyptian book of the dead actually describes a REAL journey to a REAL underworld location, that the very early '' old kingdom '' Pharaohs actually made, if you combine the text from Unas tomb along with the diagram from Senenmuts tomb and the illustrations from Seti 1 tomb, along with Tutankhamen tomb contents, it is then real easy to recreate the entire journey the ancient pharaohs made..
