city lights is great in sf (it’s near chinatown and little italy). if you have time to be in oakland, marcus books is the oldest black bookstore in the country and has great nonfiction selections centering the black diaspora. in berkeley, moe’s books and pegasus are amazing! moe’s is my favorite and it’s a 4-story used bookstore by the berkeley campus. they have a great curation of books, especially on the first and third floors.

omg sunny just stumbled on your vid. It's Hadley from AMST class! The very nice box was such a crazy surprise when I read it ahh so glad someone else is talking about it. Also would def recommend green apple books if you are still in the city!

I agree on so much! Was very excited for „your driver is waiting“ but the writing style just wasn’t it for me.
Also, so excited for Rouge!!!

The Amazon numbers are so sad :( I don’t know the exact ones for Germany (where I’m from) but I work at a small indie bookstore and we’ve definitely felt the danger from this. Good thing is that we have something called „Buchpreisbindung“ which makes it illegal to sell books at different prices, the prices are set by the publishers.

The cover and the hype have got me interested in the new Mona Awad, but I didn’t like bunny. Good to hear that her other books are different, so maybe I will try it

if you're a fan of Broder, you will absolutely love Death Valley! she's at her most earnest!

and Rouge is a bit less intense than Bunny! a slowburn gothic horror, perfect for spooky season!
