I'm so confused...and worried. This could be a bold change of place or a REALLY bizarre direction.

I better not hear "evil dies tonight" 90 fucking times.

Corey has been out there for a while. Remember when David Gordon Green said when he asked John Carpenter if Ends was too Christine? Corey is the Christine element as he is influenced by Michael and becomes a killer himself.

In the trailer when "Michael" opens the door he has no missing fingers. That's Corey.

I guessing Michael killed the kid the other guy got framed and "the evil she can't control" is just Myers. It's the classic Halloween trope "myers hasn't been seen in years so he must be dead so one one believes his guy didn't do it.

So after all the build up of hatred and evil dies tonight, plus Karen's death... Laurie moves on and just accepts Michael is out there? Like she's turning a blind eye to it until some innocent guy gets blamed for a crime Michael committed. This seems like a plot that should've started the trilogy, not ended it. The residents of Haddonfield know about the Halloween Kills massacre, wouldn't they just automatically assume Michael killed the kid that this guy is being accused of killing? So strange.

So, here is my theory on Halloween Ends based on early rumors, official plot synopsis and trailer: movie opens where Halloween Kills left off, a mob of people led by Laurie chase Michael to the radio tower, rumored to be an important element in the overall story, and is hunted down and killed. Or so we think. Corey Cunningham, new character, who is obsessed with the Michael Myers and Laurie Strode history, finds Michael barely alive and helps restore his health over the 4 years. During that time, Laurie thinks he's finally dead and now lives with her granddaughter and writes her memoirs. At the same time MM regains his health and starts killing again and going after Corey but stops and leaves him alone realizing he showed MM some humanity by helping him. Michael goes after Laurie again and she finally kills him in a final battle. But Corey, after falsely being accused of killing a boy he was babysitting, finds out and takes the mantle of the new Shape and now goes after Laurie. In an attempt to catch him, Laurie is set up as bait and something goes wrong and is finally killed by Corey dressed as Michael Myers. OR Laurie is saved last minute by MM and kills Corey before he himself dies and Laurie lives. Fade to black....

Well...it'll certainly be different. This is either going to play out incredibly well, making this perhaps one of the best Halloween films, or it is going to completely destroy it

This could either be a really interesting, unique direction for the series or a complete, unmitigated disaster. Either way, I'm genuinely curious to see how this turns out.

Pretty obvious that Michael decided to retire and become a lumberjack. Probably in this movie his kid gets him out of retirement so he can free his dark passenger.

Copy cat killer until the real Michael shows up

I think it’s like Corey is on the run while everyone thinks he’s killing everyone but it’s actually Michael

I pray to God the accusation against this Cory is actually the doing of The Shape

I think they're setting up this Corey character to be the next killer going forward once Michael is dead at the end of the movie. I just hope they do it right and they don't make Corey out to be some fanboy copycat killer. I don't want to see him putting on the white Shatner mask and blue coveralls, because that's Michael's look and Corey should have his own aesthetic. If he, 's going to be another Shape, he should have a different shape.

Also, I don't really wanna see some kind of physical "transfer of power" from Michael to Corey, where they touch and the evil leaves Michael's body and then enters Corey. I feel like that would be way too literal of an image. I don't even want Corey to factor into the main plot of Laurie vs. Michael. The whole Corey case should serve to drum up anxiety among the citizens of Haddonfiend at the beginning of the film, but then become a non-issue once Michael enters the story. Have Corey sitting in a jail cell or a psych ward the entire time, waiting for a future movie to escape.

I would emphasize the nature of evil, and how it is such a massive force that it wouldn't ever restrain itself to a single host like Michael. Michael is not the first, last, or only Boogeyman in the world, and such a power like evil can control more than one person at a time. And though Michael may be dead, evil never dies.

If it’s Corey Feldman then I’m all in.

I think it’s either gonna be like Friday 5 where there is a killer copying Michael or it may be like Chucky in a more supernatural thing where Michael transfers to this new dude.

One of the biggest WTF plot synopsis’ I’ve ever heard

So Corey is gonna be the second villian I’m assuming he’s wearing Michael’s outfit too.

Yes!!! I'm excited about the Corey angle. Time to retire Myers and Strode for good.

Translated the synopsis is: Laurie and Alison have moved on, Corey either committed or is framed for a murder which somehow leads Laurie to face Michael again and end it.
