In the Korean language the word 'welcome' can be translated in different ways. In the dictionary 'welcome' is translated as 'hwanyeonghamnida' (환영합니다) or 'hwanyeong' (환영) in its short form.

However in spoken Korean there are multiple ways to say 'welcome'. There's the polite way to say it, the formal way and the informal way.

Polite: 'eoseo oseyo' (어서 오세요)

Formal: 'eoseo oshipshio' (어서 오십시오)
