I've had a Dremel Multitool Pro #395 (10k to 37k) for around 20-odd years. The chuck is nearly worn out, and the button to unlock the shaft is really stiff, but it has worked every time I've needed it. It was made in Mexico, not sure if that is normal. It is easily my oldest power tool. Nice video. I might upgrade soon. $0.02

Great overview of the Dremel models. I was wondering if the Dremel 8250/8260 can be used with power cable or only vi battery?

From someone who went from almost 20 year old Dremel 300 to Brushless 8260. Holy hell, the difference.

hi! My (new) dremmel 3000 has the lock issue - I think I bumped the button while the motor was running :( . Wondering if you can give advice on how to hack it so I can do the screw driver technique you showed briefly? Thanks so much

Let me chime in here: the 8220 and 8240 is going to be as high as you want to go currently. The 50 and 60 models have insufficient bearings that cannot handle 30, 000 rpm- they heat up and fail- becoming so hot that it mishapes the interior support braces resulting in the entire motor shaft becoming loose leaving you without a useable tool. Not sure why there isn’t more context about this issue-I sent mine back 4 times before I decided to fix this issue myself. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful as the fix is replacing the bearings with quality bearings. Bringing me to the next issue. Technically, this is not a Dremel at all. Dremel has been sold twice with the most recent in the 90’s to ‘Bosch’. Understand that a new tool is a ‘Bosch’ product with the name ‘Dremel’ on the side. No longer made in Germany or Switzerland- this tool is made in and with components of ‘Mexico’. Mexico. Which could be the worst quality production country in the world. Save money and buy a better product investing in a Milwaukee. If your box says Dremel on it, you’ve Compromised quality for a name. Period.

Great video! Thanks for mentioning how the 8250/60 battery packs work with some BOSCH and vice versa. I have that same small BOSCH drill and impact driver so I'll get the 8250.

Got a foredom type flex shaft rotary tool that you can hang from the wall or the side of your bench. From all the reviews ive seen, theyre better and more comfortable to use than those chunky dremel type ones.

I know this is the #1 brand of rotary tools, but I have no experience at all and wanted a small one, and cordless, so I got the mini cordless Hardell.😬 Having a cord seems like a no go to me as you have to get a power source near.

i need to buy a dremel to remove nails/screws sticking out inside my sliding door gap, can you provide dimensions for all dremel tools please? I believe I only have space for 2 inch in wide size to fit through the door gap? What is the most powerful dremel for that size? Could you please find out?

It would be nice to see how the Dremel rotary tools compare to other brands. I haven't checked out your other videos yet, so this request/ recommendation might be a bit mute.

I bought a model 754 Minimite from Amazon some years ago. It worked fine for a while. But now I can't refurbish it. It has a plastic housing with only 2 microscrews on it and they won't come apart anymorre. Everything seems stuck, gritty.I wish I had bought a better model!
