The problem is that Ubiwoke is nearly Ubibroke !! The only way to fix this company is to replace the CEO who has overseen this disaster !! Avatar, Skull and Bones, Xdefiant and Star Wars Outlaws has destroyed Ubiwoke.

Ubisoft is not necessarily hiring. They are advertising. I have yet to hear of anyone being hired as a result of those ads. They gave some people within the company new titles, but they have not actually started working in their new role.

Ubisoft has shown a complete ineptitude over the past 5 years. This is what has resulted in their current situation. If they survive this, what makes you think they will suddenly become a great game developer?

I really want to know who thought Avatar was a good idea. Spend all that time and money making a game based on a 15 year old movie?

Our goal should be the DLC anything beyond that will be a bonus

Hey G, good discussion, guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens 😁

IMO Div is there to stay they have seen how well it does with gamers and there is a strong base Ubisoft knows there is.

This might be a nice thing to say BUT when Massive people decided that they were bored with Division2, killed Faye Lau and told the player base "we're done with series" it went downhill from there. People laughed at me when I said Avatar and Star Wars were going to fail. The problem for Ubisoft/Massive is this...whenever Division 3 comes out will players actually care?

Not sure how they will get that past French law tbh

The only game from them im interested in is Division series.
And the only games I bought in the last decade from them are the 2 division games and Assassins Creed Odyssey.

As an investor myself l can say that Tencent will absolutely keep The Division series. l wouldn't even be surprised if they put more resources towards it to make the Division series more prolific. Maybe even get a team on Division 4. And release a new one every 2-3 years. Tencent will keep any IP that makes money. Games that cost money will have resources and costs moved away from them, such as Avatar, Skull and Bones, and XDefiant. Ubisofts always been amazing at 3rd person shooters such as Splinter Cell, Ghost Recon, and Divsion. Ubisoft needs to stop paying outside firms such as Disney exorbitant licensing fees for games that never pan out. They should stick to lifting up their own properties. Splinter Cell with good writing could even be made into an amazing movie. Ubisofts abandonment of Division Heartland was an extremely poor decision. After that l was convinced the Gillimont brothers were deliberately sinking the company. They had a extraction shooter which would absolutely have battlepasses and purchasable cosmetics in a universe the fans were dying for. I'd even say Tencent would probably examine releasing Heartland if it would be profitable and to save face with the fans.

In my eyes there's absolutely no uncertainty about the division 3. It will never happen as long as the IP belongs to Ubisoft. The only chance this game has of ever seeing the light of day is if it's sold to some other studio.

Didn't you just yesterday say you could never see the family giving up control?

Tencent = Partially the major reason for UBISOFT's status. UBISOFT another major reason why it is in the state that is in. Both of these parties pushed for this "woke culture" bs, which tanked all of their games. They are even going to continue doing this, without advertising it -- so you have to purchase the slop to find out they are doing the same thing. They are going to double down and continue trying to force feed you the nonsense.

If you have any hope, put that energy to making them sell the Tom Clancy IPs/Franchises to development/publisher studios -- who are not interested in the woke garbage. That is your only reasonable hope for you to get the games back. If not get ready for an absurd amount of people not purchasing and your game dying in UBICent's hands. Promise.

at this point, they should cut their staff in HALF and focus solely on Far Cry, Just Dance, Rainbow Six and an AC Finale 👌 Far Cry id love to see in Alaska, Brazil and Australia 👍 Rainbow Six can have a Division-style campaign with cameos from Sam and Sarah Fisher 👍 the modern day AC finale should drop in 2027 with Watch Dogs cameos from Aiden Pierce, Clara and Marcus to end both franchises at once 🙌 and once its over, they can do an open world Prince Of Persia with a Jade cameo from Beyond Good & Evil 👍 there's so much they can do but they gotta condense, they're spreading themselves too thin.

Ubisoft ain't going anywhere. If they were going under they would be bought out and the name/brand might not carry as much weight as it did, but every triple A has the chance to comeback if they put the effort in and get lucky. Tencent will be ready to step in and it's the best thing for Ubisoft if they are crashing out. Tencent get a bad rep but they are pretty much hands off. They punt on investment and usually get theyr money back anyway with a small stake. And if they don't do it, Microsoft absolutely will.

So what.... do we really need a repetitive looter shooter. Same game, different day.

Division 3 is inevitable. All this hype about ubisoft being in trouble is just to get us the players to respond and show the buyers how lucrative a deal will be for them in div 3. Guaranteed it's about 80% done already. 2025, mark my words.

Ubi not remotely capable or interested in maintaing Division nor Ghost Recon anymore. Don’t even want them to. Imagine woke DEI versions of Division, GR or Splinter Cell. I’d rather live with the memories.
