American Airlines (Ex US Airways) Airbus A321 review

I had never flown with American Airlines before and I'm not really sure why. Especially from here in Edmonton it's not easy to find a well connected flight, but when I found that great deal to fly to Los Angeles with United I saw that AA had a great deal to fly back home, which was a great opportunity to try out American. And you know what?

What I didn't consider whilst booking this flight is the merger between US Airways and AA a couple of years back. And I didn't think that I'd end up on one of the legacy US Airways aircraft. By some dubbed as the worst aircraft in the AA fleet, but I didn't know any better, so I got on board unbiased. However, I do really want to try out their own Airbus A321 aircraft now, to see if the legact US aircraft are actually that bad.

I cannot thank my fellow trip reporter Blake Edgington enough for the shout out on his video. So please, go have a look as his channel too. You won't regret:

Route: LAX-PHX
Flight Number: AA1895
Airline: American Airlines
Aircraft: Airbus A321 (Legacy US Airways)
Aircraft registration: N178US
Seat: 16F

To distinguish from American a321 and us airways a321, on the website American's say a321 sharklets while us airways just says a321

Sorry your first flight with AA was on an LUS A321. I flew AA enough last year to attain Gold status with them, and this plane and the 757 in coach were the only planes I really disliked. AA's own A321 on the other hand is an excellent aircraft. I have flights filmed in the queue for my channel in both cabins on the AA version. I have another flight on this LUS A321 coming up later this month, hoping my upgrade goes through, but not likely!
